Wonder – Plot and Synopsis
August “Auggie” Pullman is a 10-year-old citizen of Brooklyn. Born with mandibulofacial dysostosis is a rare medical facial deformity, he’s had 27 operations to help him see, smell, talk, and hear.
As Auggie reaches fifth grade, his parents enrol him in Beecher Prep private middle school.
Before the school year starts, Auggie meets with the principal, who organizes a tour with Jack Will, Julian Albans, and Charlotte Cody. When school begins, he’s shy, but he and Jack become close.
Jack is Making fun of Auggie.
Auggie dressed as Ghostface for Halloween after Daisy damaged his Boba Fett outfit.
Auggie’s outfit gives him anonymity, which boosts his confidence.
As he enters, he overhears Jack, who doesn’t recognize him, saying to Julian and his buddies, “If he was Auggie, he’d kill himself.”
Apology of Jack
Auggie tells Summer, a new friend, about his breakup with Jack. Summer tells Jack “Ghostface” when he wonders why Auggie is avoiding him. Jack decides to join Auggie for the science fair in science class.
Mr Browne and another teacher break up a fight between Julian and Jack in the classroom after Julian labels Auggie a “freak.” Mr Tushman reads Jack’s letter after suspending him for two days.

After he and Jack win the science fair, Auggie’s reputation and circle of friends improve, but Julian and his cronies continue to torment him until Mr.
Browne sees them. Mr Tushman confronts Julian and his parents with hate mail and a manipulated class portrait.
Auggie and jack got attacked.
Three seventh-graders attack Auggie and Jack from another school, but Julian and his buddies save them. Auggie’s classmates accept him more.
Auggie praises Isabel for taking him to school at graduation. He earns a standing ovation and the Henry Ward Beecher Medal for his heroism.
As the audience cheers for Auggie, he closes the narration with a voiceover “Be kind since everyone is struggling to survive.
And all you need to do is look if you want to understand who individuals are.”
